according to PN-EN IEC 62561-2 "Lightning protection system components (LPSC) − Part 2: Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes. "
Hot dip galvanized steel strip and hot dip galvanized wire, defined as lightning protection system components, are used for:
lightning protection aimed at capturing and directing lightning discharges into the object
external earthing intended for conducting and dissipating the lightning current into the ground
discharge conduits used for conducting the lightning current from air terminals to earth electrodes
horizontal ground electrode system buried in the ground ensuring direct contact with the ground and dissipation of lightning current into the ground.
